A new webcam is beaming live images from a Hobby’s nest deep in the New Forest. Two eggs were laid in the nest and the first chick hatched out on 10 July. Both chicks are now being fed by the parents and should be viewable in the nest for the next four weeks. The webcam is a collaboration between the RSPB, Forestry Commission and the New Forest National Park Authority.
The images are viewable on the RSPB website and also at the Forestry Commission’s New Forest Reptile Centre near Lyndhurst, Hampshire.
