Bill Oddie's top 10 birds

Broadcaster and Birdwatch Advisory Panel member Bill Oddie is no stranger to the nation’s TV screens, but tonight he offers a different take on birding as the subject of a new BBC Four documentary.

In Bill Oddie’s Top 10 Birds, the ex-Goodie sings the praises of his favourite 10 species, and also makes no secret about which ones he thinks are the top 10 scoundrels.

Exploding traditional myths, Oddie names and shames popular favourites such as the Robin and Mute Swan, revealing the darker twists and turns of their lives. When it comes to championing his favourite birds, according to the programme’s makers, it's clear that Oddie isn't sitting on the fence.
